HEADING OUT......

TO NEW HOMES....

From top to bottom....each puppy shown with new family, and in some cases, new names.

Krug -- will remain Krug, and will live in Maryland
Bollinger - is now Cinder - and will live in New Jersey
Crystal - will be Teagan (which is beautiful in Irish) and will live in Vermont
Louis - new name is Tiller and will live on Long Island, NY
Piper - keeps her name and will also be in Maryland, and will also be working as a therapy dog with the Burn Foundation!
Perrier - now is Chief and is the only one remaining in Pennsylvania!
Dom - is now Pixar and has a wonderful new place to live right on the beach in Stone Harbor, NJ

Ms Laurent.....eventually will head on up to Maine, but Mother Nature pulled a nasty Halloween trick on us this weekend, so she will stay here for a couple more days....plans are to have her head on up on Wednesday, so watch for her picture also.

As we get pictures of the puppies in their new homes, we will be updating the blog periodically.....keep watching!

FUN IN MOMMA NANCY'S YARD

Today, all the puppies traveled from Chester County to Berks County to meet with the vet for the microchipping...and they got to run in the grassy area normally off limits to the dogs....cuz they are special! Here are some shots of them romping!

Next blogs will be puppies leaving for their new homes with their new families....

PLAYING AT BEING SHOW DOGS!!!

what a day ... first we had to learn to behave ourselves while Momma Nancy made us lie still on our backs and not squirm, then we got our weigh-in (and we are getting FAT -- gaining about 2 lbs per week!), then we got some rather tasty "stuff" that she called worm medicine, and then we got "shot" with our first vaccinations! And then....after all of that.....we had to play show dog and Momma Nancy made us stand on the table like little show puppies while Cindy, who was visiting from Richmond, VA took pictures...and don't we look wonderful!

Hearing Testing performed today by Dr. Loew from Cornell University. He was kind enuf to come to my home to do the testing since there were two litters to be done, along with two adults owned by people who needed retesting.
Results were as expected: Tattinger was indeed bilaterally deaf and he has already been humanely euthanized. Two others, Krug and Louis, are unilateral hearing, which means that they hear in one ear and not the other. When unis are in homes, no one knows the difference and I have one here in my home now. Only slight difference is if the dog is out running in a large field and he is called, he will have to look around to be sure he knows where the sound is coming from
Since it was soooo very hectic during the testing, I did not get any pictures - but here are two pix taken this past Sunday when pups had all their visitors.
I will take more pix this Monday when I visit and will post later that day.

A SUMMERTIME WEEKEND IN OCTOBER

Today was an exceptionally super day...the weather was summer-like with temps in the mid 80's and the puppies spent the entire day on the front porch, and even ventured onto the grass for a romp with momma Bubbles and also had their first lession in stair climbing.

CHAMPAGNE BUBBLES

LOTSA CHANGES THIS WEEK!
Puppies are now in their larger pen so they have lots of room to run and play and can have toys in with them. Momma Bubbles is only allowed in for short periods of time since we are in the process of weaning her and drying her up. Next week she will be allowed to play with them more.
The pictures below show them all happily sleeping under heat lamp (PA temps have plummeted...and skies are gray and rain is predicted for almost every day, and some portions of PA have already gotten snow! Not us, but our temps are only in high 40's to low 50's so puppies are not outdoors right now and do like to be nice and warm under their heat source). On the second picture below....see how they love to play in their tubes -- they crawl in and "defend" it from the others and multiples like to try to get in all at the same time..for a real traffic jam!
And....we have assigned names...as usual, pink background is girls and blue background is boys.
Next update will be Sunday, Oct. 9th, when we will have LOTS of visitors come to play with us.
